When talking on a podcast with Gary Vee, Shaq talked about entrepreneurship and business. He also talked about Jeff Bezos and heaped praises on the billionaire.

When someone talks about entrepreneurship and business, Jeff Bezos is a name that needs to be mentioned. With a net worth of around $195.9 billion, Bezos is the second wealthiest person in the world behind Elon Musk.

Shaq was all praises for the Amazon founder in a podcast with Gary Vee. Shaquille O’Neal said, “I go to Vegas a lot. I saw a ‘Good Looking Brother’ one day by the name of Jeff Bezos. He is talking about Amazon, what Amazon is today, exactly what he said it would be. The last thing he said was,” I have invested all my time into Amazon because it’s going to change people’s lives.”

Shaquille O’Neal goes on to talk about his recent NFT venture in the podcast. The NFT goes by the name of ‘Shaq Gives Back’ and had raised a whopping $1 million in just 35 minutes. All the proceeds from the NFT will be going to underprivileged kids.

How Jeff Bezos helped Shaq be better at finance

What is that one thing which is common in successful people? It is the drive to excel in all fields. Shaquille O’Neal is no different. Apart from having a succesful career in basketball, Shaq is a very successful businessperson as well.

Talking to the Wall Street Journal, Shaq mentioned how a piece of advice from Jeff Bezos helped him ‘quadruple’ his net worth.

Shaq mentions during the interview, “I heard Jeff Bezos say one time that he makes his investments based on if it’s going to change people’s lives; and once I started doing that strategy, I think I probably quadrupled what I’m worth.“

Shaquille O’Neal has a whopping net worth of around  $400 million and he earned around $292 million in salaries alone. His current contract with media network TNT and other business ventures earns him around $60 million yearly. He joined the board of directors of Papa John’s, which earns him around $8 million yearly.
