Shaquille O’Neal: “If You Don’t Double or Triple Me Right Away, You’re Showing Disrespect”

Shaquille O’Neal says Larry Johnson should have come down and doubled him!

Their conversation started with O’ Neal describing a match from 1999. The interviewer referred to it as a most disrespectful clip. O’Neal explained what happened in the clip:

The Knicks were always the…in our era, they were always the tough team right!..so I always said if you don’t double or triple me right away you’re showing disrespect“.

In between, Barkley mentioned that in that game they threw the ball at O’Neal.  The latter continued:

So Kenny you can tell, the first dribble I took wasn’t a power drill it was a dribble to get the defense to commit and I’m like oh you’re not coming so now that I got momentum I’m going back now I’ve just turned drop stepping like oh you saw it right so now you’re not going to double me, get off me, little fella”.

Moreover, he said that Larry Johnson should have come down and doubled O’Neal, and that’s all he wants to say.
