The talented Ben Simmons from Australia has been on the sidelines for some time now. After falling out with the 76ers, he has refused to play for them and is asking for a trade away from the team.

Shaquille O’Neal went all out to bash the superstar regarding his actions. Talking on The Big Podcast with Shaq, one of the hosts mentioned, “Let’s talk about Philly… I thought they wanted to get rid of Ben, but now they are saying they want to wait till the off-season to try and trade him for James Harden. He is walking around engaged and with crocs.”

To which Shaq replied, “Making $30 million. If I’m a tea,, I wouldn’t pick him up. I always tell people about Game 6, that man was terrified out there. I don’t want no terrified guy on my team.”

What caused the rift between Simmons and his team?

The fallout between the Philadelphia 76ers and their star Ben Simmons is no secret to anyone. It all started in early 2021 when the 76ers were involved in a trade deal with James Harden.

Reports stated that Simmons was involved in a deal that would potentially bring Harden to Philadelphia. Although the deal did not go through, Simmons took the fact that the franchise was willing to get rid of him in a bad way.

He struggled with a dip in form throughout the remainder of the season and refused to participate in the Olympics. The rift became public after Simmons missed the 76ers Media day after numerous failed trade talks.

Ever since then, he has refused to participate in games until he finds a way out of Philadelphia. His future remains in the air with the 76ers not being able to find a good deal for him.
