Kevin Durant strongly believes that the entire NBA community is keen on witnessing his team, the Brooklyn Nets, fail. Having said that, this very same community is aware the Nets’ roster can be lethal. Even Shaquille O’Neal agrees with this narrative. However, he is also aware of what could happen if their lethal energy is not activated soon. Recently, on ‘Inside the NBA’, Shaq spoke about Durant’s team while issuing them with a warning.

With the likes of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Ben Simmons, the Nets were one of the favorites to win the championship at the start of the season. However, chaos has consumed them. Their performances have been disappointing for fans and the off-court controversy surrounding Kyrie Irving recently has left many in disarray. To add to their misery, they are currently placed 10th on the Eastern Conference table with an 8-10 record so far this season. While they still do have a chance to enter the playoffs, winning a championship from here would require their fortunes to turn dramatically.

The Brooklyn Nets’ season so far

After a shaky start, the Brooklyn Nets have shown glimpses of better gameplay. In the game against the Philadelphia 76ers, Kevin Durant bagged 20 points and Kyrie Irving scored 23 points. The new Nets’ head coach, Jacque Vaughn, highlighted that Ben Simmons looked more aggressive on the court. However, this wasn’t enough for the Nets to grab a win. They lost to the Philadelphia 76ers 115-106 in the end.
