If you say you are not a fan of mid-match squabbles, you are probably lying. It’s common to see NBA stars indulge in such contretemps every once in a while, and much to the delight of the media and audience alike. Surrounding this, Legendary baller, Shaquille O’Neal has a very interesting suggestion for UFC Chief Dana White.
Shaquille O’Neal talks about NBA players and boxing matches:
Shaquille O’Neal is a huge media personality and knows a thing or two about the entertainment industry. When asked about NBA players attending boxing matches in The Big Podcast, Shaq had a very interesting answer.

“You know what, Dana White should do an NBA version of this every year to see who’s the toughest. I’m going for Deron Williams man.” said Shaq when asked about the Deron Williams and the Frank Gore fight.

NBA veteran Deron Williams fought NFL star Frank Gore in the undercard of the Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley match. Deron Woodley came up on top of the match with a split decision among the judges.
With an increasing number of athletes and stars trying out their hands in boxing, Shaq’s suggestion doesn’t sound all too bad. If NBA boxing matches ever happen, it can only do good for the league overall!

Shaq and his love for martial arts:
Shaquille O’Neal has been a fan of mixed martial arts for quite some time now. The four time NBA champion had once mentioned how mixed martial arts impacted his game.
While talking to ESPN, Shaq said.”MMA is the reason I became a champion. I always used to practice basketball. It wasn’t enough. Because when I played basketball, it was more wrestling. So when I trained MMA with Jon Burke, a friend of mine down in Orlando, I came back in the best shape of my life.”

Shaquille O’Neal had once famously tried his hands in MMA. He had challenged South Korean pro fighter Hong-Man Choi in 2010. Although the match did not happen, O’Neal had really hoped his friend Dana White would put the match in place.
