Shaquille O’Neal remains one of the biggest names in basketball. The Big Diesel has been at the top of his game even after retirement. With some major investments, he has transformed himself into a global businessman. He even owns a chain of restaurants to his name. However, what happens when Shaq tries to work at one?

On the court, O’Neal is one of the most dominant players to grace the game. His size and athleticism allowed him to conquer the game like no other player. After retirement where most players can’t keep all their money, Shaq has found ways to expand it. Making some clever investments and business calls, he is now a business tycoon.

However, a young Shaq did not have all this knowledge. So when he tried to work at McDonald’s, that did not go well for him.

Shaquille O’Neal got fired from McDonald’s

Currently, Shaq is the owner of quite a few restaurants. He has positions in restaurants like Papa John’s and Big Chicken. While he is on the top now, Shaq once tried to work at McDonald’s when he was young. It came after his father gave him an option to either babysit his siblings or go to work. So the Big Diesel chose to work at the reputed fast food company. However, that lasted just a single day before he quit.

Shaq explained saying: “I worked at McDonald’s one day. When I was a youngster my father said you babysit your siblings or you go to work. I said I’m not babysitting no kids. I went to work one day and I was like I quit. That’s why I respect the people that have real jobs because that’s hard hard work.”

Clearly the job did not suit the liking of Shaquille O’Neal as he quit going in just a day. However, he did reveal some more interesting facts. Surprisingly enough, McDonald’s actually had a uniform to fit the big man. He also revealed the reason he decided to quit the job was that he was caught stealing a few fries.
