Shaquille O’Neal is a self-made millionaire whose worth exceeds more than $350 Million dollars. But it seems there are some things that are even out of the big man’s reach. Recently on his podcast, he talked about Jennifer Lopez’s new engagement ring.

When discussing the engagement ring given to J Lo by Ben Affleck, Shaq said “Never Paying That Much For A Ring”. Shaq displayed his shock when told that the ring cost between 5-10 million dollars. When asked what according to him was a correct price for an engagement ring, he said laughingly” Hundred Thousand Dollars”. Shaq has been known to comment on anything and everything under the sun in his podcast. And never shies away from speaking his mind.

Shaq has always been one advocate for athletes bringing change to their community. And his comments on the engagement might be coming regarding that. Shaq always believes in community service and even has a shoe line dedicated for people who couldn’t afford expensive shoes.

Shaq’s Businesses

The Laker’s legend has been an active businessman and investor. Furthermore, he is also active in the real estate business. In early 2019, he  joined the Papa John’s board of directors and invested in nine stores in the Atlanta area. In addition, he became the spokesperson for the company as part of the three-year contract.

Shaq, though, has always been careful about his money, at least in the latter half of his career. And has always maintained that this is his own hard earned money and his kids would have to earn their inheritance themselves. Moreover, he always likes to do a random act of charity for people who need it. And this may be the reason he may not like the huge amount of money spent by Ben Affleck on the engagement ring.
