The Miami Heat have made everyone eat their words yet again! Following a disappointing loss in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, the Jimmy Butler-led Heat came up big in the clutch to bag Game 2 against Nikola Jokic and Co. The Serbian monster did all he could, however, the Nuggets “came out flat” today, according to Charles Bakrley. Surprisingly agreeing with Sir Charles, Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal did not go easy on the Denver Nuggets as well. Several members of the Nuggets made confident statements in press conferences ahead of the Finals, which the ‘Big Diesel’ decided to call out.

Shaq and Charles Barkley were on the same page tonight, something of a rare occurrence. The Phoenix Suns legend and the 4x champion are known for their verbal disagreements on Live TV. However, things were different today.

2-time MVP Jokic dropped 41 points and 11 rebounds, giving his best to cut the lead. However, he did not get enough support from the other players. Jamal Murray, who has been on fire this postseason, failed to deliver today, with just 18 points. Michael Porter Jr. and KCP, who have been the key three-point shooters for the Nuggets, dropped just 5 points and 6 points respectively. This was not the only flaw!

The Nuggets were down 3 with around 10 seconds left on the clock in the last quarter. With the type of players the Nuggets have, a timeout would have helped them send the game to overtime. However, veteran coach Michael Malone decided not to call one, even though they had two. O’Neal wasn’t a fan of the overall performance of the Nuggets and called them.

Shaq said, “Denver did come out flat and they should be ashamed because, you know, all the talk about you know championship ready…them being the favorites, they did what they had to do in Game 1 but Chuck made a great point, you should never come out flat when you have the home court advantage”.

While the Nuggets couldn’t win the game, they sure became one of the very few teams to get Shaq and Barkley on the same page. Both the legends agreed that Denver came out flat and weren’t themselves on the night. O’Neal also dived deeper into how Miami stole a valuable win on the road.

Charles Barkley gave the Heat their flowers. Following this, Shaq shared, “They [Heat] were very very physical with the guards and the switches on the pick and roll. You know when the Joker every time he comes, they gave him a hard extra bump”

In addition to the win, the Heat might get a huge upper edge over the Nuggets next game. Keeping the home court advantage on one side, shooting guard Tyler Herro might make a return from injury for Game 3. The young guard has played a crucial role throughout this season. In addition to the momentum, his return can help the Heat bag Game 3 as well!
