In a recent interview with Brian J. Roberts, he discussed his journey and how he planned his life to reach this point. Shaq discussed many topics from his own perspective during the discussion. He also shared some advice he has learned over the years during the conversation.

In one instance, he shared an incident in which O’Neal was jealous of Tom Cruise and Eddie Murphy, despite not being an actor. Moreover, he discussed his career as a rapper.

In the interview, he talked about going to his first party in Los Angeles. Then he realized something that has led him to work harder each day in his career and even now.

He said: “When I went to my first party in LA, I’m like, draft, first pick, they wouldn’t even let me in. They didn’t even know who I was and then Magic pulls up and then Eddie Murphy pulls up in a leather suit with his shirt open and his taco meat showing and Tom Cruise and all these people were getting in. And I’m like, God damn, this is what it’s like to be a superstar?”

In addition, Shaq added: “But I just motivated me, I said, okay. One day. And I just keep on working.”
