It is no secret that NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal is a man of many talents. After his retirement, Shaq has become one of the best basketball analysts. Fans around the world love his antics with fellow legends Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson on the ‘Inside the NBA’ show on TNT. Recently, the four-time NBA champion signed a contract extension with TNT as well. A couple of weeks back, O’Neal gave a seemingly boastful response when asked about his future in the TV business during an interview.

The former MVP gave an interview to a Serbian channel called ‘Arena Sport TV’ recently. During the sit-down, O’Neal answered honestly to a variety of questions.

In one instance, the host noted that Shaquille O’Neal has been a part of TNT for more than a decade now. He then asked Shaq about his future in the TV business. O’Neal replied, “Who knows? I go day by day, year by year. I’m just fortunate enough to be working and having a job. But if I lasted long, good. If not, I understand. You know, when you grow up how I grew up, you gotta always have something to fall back on. So if TNT stops tomorrow, I’ll definitely find other things to do.”

The Big Diesel reportedly signed a contract extension worth $10 million per season with TNT with a 30-minute appearance every week. However, Shaq is still not sure what the future holds.

Also, he was fairly confident that he can find something else if he leaves TNT. Why wouldn’t he? The four-time NBA champion has built a business empire over the years. As per reports, Shaq has a net worth of $400 million. So his confidence is no accident. However, the fans would miss watching his antics on TV when he decides to call it a day.

Shaquille O’Neal won almost everything during his illustrious career. He played his final season for the Boston Celtics in 2010-11 and announced his retirement. He then joined TNT as a basketball analyst in 2011. Even though O’Neal has always been media savvy, he needed some time to settle in.
