Shaquille O’Neal addressed the topic of age gap in relationships in a recent episode of his podcast. The Big Diesel dropped a lot of wisdom on dating and relationships and also detailed what an age gap in a relationship signifies. In fact, Shaquille O’Neal pointed out the chief reason why men and women chose younger and older partners respectively.

In a recent edition of the Big Podcast with Shaq, the former Lakers center answered a lot of dating and relationship-related questions from viewers of the show. Quite remarkably, Shaq has established himself as somewhat of an expert on matters of the heart over the last few years.

As a result, he tried to provide a solution to a variety of dating problems experienced by his viewers. In the process, Shaq also revealed a lot about his own relationships over the years and what he had learned from them.

During the podcast, an anonymous viewer asked Shaquille O’Neal about his take on age gap in relationships. In response, Dr. O’Neal said that it’s all about compatibility. In other words, the age difference of a couple doesn’t matter if they are compatible with each other.

After that, he went on to reveal the real reason why women date older men and men tend to date younger women. “Women date older because most guys their age are immature,” said the Lakers legend. “Men are immature, women are very mature,” he added.

Meanwhile, Shaq also talked about his propensity to date younger women. In fact, he admitted that he can easily date anybody whether they be 45 or 26 at the age of 50.

Shaq’s relationship history

Since his divorce in 2011, Shaq has dated several women. And they have been mostly younger than him.

Shaq dated Television personality Nicole Alexander till 2012. She has a 10-year age gap with her former Hall-of-Famer boyfriend. Currently, she is 40 years old.

From 2014 to 2018, the four-time NBA champion dated model Laticia Rolle. She has a 16-year age gap with Shaq. Currently, she is 34.
