The Warriors vs the Grizzlies has gotten fierce over the two games so far. The game series promised excitement and the stars are delivering way more. Both teams are working hard and it shows as the players have left their hearts out in the 2 games so far. Even though there has been immense talent on display, the two most noticeable moments have been the controversial ejection of Draymond Green in game 1 and the suspension of Dillon Brooks.

Dillon Brooks hit Gary Payton II hard on the head in the 3rd minute of game 2 and the speed with which he went for the block injured Payton. Brooks tried to stop Gary from making a layup. In the process, he lashed at Gary and the momentum it led to a nasty fall. Payton has a fractured left elbow now and will miss a few months for sure. Dillon was ejected for a flagrant 2. And he is suspended for game 3.

Game 2 was brutally physical but it probably all started with a flagrant 2 foul call on Draymond Green, which in the end was not as clear as Dillon Brooks’ hard foul.

Shaquille O’Neal came in support of Draymond Green, who got ejected in game 1 in a rather controversial call.

Shaquille O’Neal speaks about the ‘soft’ league following Draymond Green ejection

O’Neal had already supported the views and said the same thing that Draymond said after the ejection. This time, he supported him via his podcast.

“It wasn’t a flagrant 2. He didn’t pull him to the ground. — If you look at how the guy jumped, Draymond hit him. So he was already in the air. He wasn’t trying to land properly anyway, he was gonna fall anyway. His left foot was already under his right foot, he was gonna fall anyway. — Draymond had only moved a couple inches and then the guy fell and then he tried to hold him up. — Listen I am the master of getting thrown out, that was not a throwing down. Not at all. —This league’s getting soft.” Shaq said bold words.
