NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has always fancied betting. Though not known much for the same, some of the ridiculous amounts he’s rolled the dice for have surprised and shocked fans immensely. He even admitted that he once placed a bet for $1 Million. Shaq was on the Jimmy Kimmel show where talked about his betting habits. He explained he does bet and the minimum that he would consider would be $100. But when Jimmy asked him what was the most he has ever bet on, Shaq cautiously answered that it was a million. When asked what happened to the bet, he revealed that they won.

However, having partnered with various organizations through investment, a prominent Australian politician recently called him out for his gambling links.

Shaquille O’Neal called out for his betting habits

Shaq was invited to attend an event organized by the ruling party of Australia. However, a Liberal party MP wasn’t happy about the same. Michael Sukkar, the MP, tweeted, “Instead of taking advice on constitutional change, perhaps the PM should consult Shaq on the gambling tsunami to hit indigenous communities when Labor abolishes the Cashless Debit Card – given Shaq’s well known involvement with gambling platforms.”

This is not the first shot the man has taken against Shaq. He also called the Prime Minister out for using Shaq for a PR event.

Shaq’s affliction with gambling is pretty well known. He recently went out of ownership of the Sacramento Kings, in order to invest in a gambling venture. And the league rules indicate that one person cannot be involved in both ventures.

He has also lost some major bets on live TV. Shaq and Chuck keep betting against each other and they sometimes place bets on thousands of dollars. However, money is not all they bet against. Once Shaq lost a bet and, as a result, had to change his hairline.
