

Shaquille O’Neal has carved a name for himself in the business world as well as in the world of basketball. Even though he has achieved massive success as a sportsman and later in business, he never ignored his responsibility as a parent. The legendary basketball player has also shared his advice about parenting on several occasions.

In a recent interview, O’Neal spoke about his children not wanting to kiss him or be kissed by him.
When Shaq was asked about the most embarrassing thing he had ever done for his kids in an interview, he mentioned, “They don’t like when I try to kiss them when I drop them off. Cause I thought, Shaq was cool. But I guess I’m not cool. Not at all. And my girls used to kiss me all the time, I thought they would like at least kiss me in the cheek forever.”
With his children growing up, he explained that such practices are becoming obsolete. He continued by saying, “Like when they were young, I love music when I used to come in the house they all used to run up and kiss me. But now the kisses are gone. Why?”

An interview with Shaquille O’Neal about parenting
We were all shocked when Shaq shared this adorable statement. There were times when he said that physical punishment helped him understand discipline and self-respect. In addition, he talked about the discipline he expects from his children.

In Shaq’s podcast, The Big “Worser”, he discussed how physical punishment can work in a child’s growth. The discussion began when it was reported that LeBron James’ school’s principal had slapped a 11-year-old student.

During their discussion, they discussed how it can adversely affect a child. Even though Shaq has his own methods of teaching his children, he knows how to treat them. He also understands that every parent has their own way of instilling discipline in their children.
