Shaquille O’Neal is known for his basketball skills around the world. His outstanding court performance and dominance bring more energy to the court. Besides being a former basketball superstar, Shaq has also shown his skills in other fields. A veteran of the music industry, DJ Diesel has produced some excellent content in this sphere.

In 1993, he made his first attempt at writing rap music. He came up with “Shaq Diesel” as his first song. The album sold over a million copies and was certified Platinum by the RIAA. That was the beginning, as he collaborated with some other well-known artists such as Method Man, RZA, and Redman on his 1994 follow-up album “Shaq Fu: Da Return“. In the past, he has talked about the music that he prefers and how passionate he is about it.

According to him: “Music has been a passion of mine for a long time, always will be. I’ve learned a lot from basketball, and always knew that would be the focus of my career, but now that that chapter has folded, I am not surprised at all that DIESEL has become what it is.”

A list he made comprises five songs, the first of which is “Skywalker” by Miguel, followed by “Eazy” by The Game and Kanye West. He added “Brooklyn We Go Hard” by Jay Z featuring Santigold in third place. After that, he chose “I Believe I Can Fly,” from the Space Jam Soundtrack. The last but not least of the top five songs he listens to is “Protect YA Neck” by Wu-Tang Clan.
