Shaquille O’Neal was one of the best centers during his playing days and his stature helped him a lot in achieving what he is today. It’s no secret that Shaq’s enormous stature dwarfs that of the average human being as he towers above 7 feet. Therefore, the vast majority of people will be unable to stand shoulder to shoulder with the big man.

While Shaq’s stature is out of this planet, his physical appearance for a 50-year-old man is extremely remarkable. To put it simply, Shaq appears to be younger than his age. While physical fitness wasn’t a priority for him during his playing days, he has continued to strive to be in good shape ever since retiring. Shaq has also revealed that he takes good care of his skin and follows a healthy vegan diet.

However, another of his secret methods, to look young, was exposed recently. Shaq’s good friend Kenny Smith made an appearance on the most recent episode of ‘The Big Podcast’. While describing his strong friendship with the Lakers legend, Anthony “Spice” Adams asked Kenny when did Shaq start dying his beard black.

To this, Kenny replied that he had no idea that Shaq was dying his beard. Kenny then went on to give a glimpse of his strong friendship with Shaq as he said, “I don’t give out secrets. That is the color of his beard, it is his own, it is not grey.”

Little did Kenny know, that Shaq has stated in one of the previous podcast episodes that he intends to dye his beard black to look 20 years younger. As things currently stand, Shaq has begun to employ that method in order to appear younger.

Like Kenny Smith, renowned actor Adam Sandler is good friends with Shaquille O’Neal. The actor also appeared as a guest on ‘The Big Podcast’ once.

Sandler talked about his friendship with Shaq and also shared his experience playing basketball with the big man. Following that, Nischelle Turner brought up the topic of his then-upcoming film Hustle (2022), asking the actor about casting Shaq in his film.

He said that it would have been a great idea. Sandler then added, “I think it was my age. I’m so much older than Shaq. I’m 55.” Shaq responded by saying that Sandler is not “much older” than him because he is only 50 years old. Sandler was taken aback and said, “You’re not 50!”
