Shaquille O’Neal has a big family. His son Shareef and Shaqir are in different stages of their journey to the NBA. Shareef, Shaqir, Amirah, and Me’arah are the four children that O’Neal shares with ex-wife Shaunie O’Neal. Shaq also has a daughter, Taahirah, with his ex-girlfriend Arnetta Yardbourgh, and a stepson, Myles, from Shaunie’s prior relationship.

Recently, Shaquille O’Neal’s ex-wife, who goes by the name of Shaunie Henderson now, got married to beau Keion Henderson. They two got hitched in a grand ceremony at the Aurora Anguilla Resort and Golf Club.

When asked how and why she planned to settle down after so long, Shaunie spoke about the dream she had as a little girl. Shaunie and Shaquille O’Neal parted ways over a decade ago and the celebrity has finally found what she was looking for.

Shaunie Henderson said, “It feels so good to have the partner that you, and that we all dreamed of right as the little girl. You want your hero, your knight in shining armor guy to come along and sweep you off your feet and it took a while to get there. It is a new beginning for me.”

Keion Henderson said “To realize that she was who she was before I met her. I’ve seen so many people and I get a chance to counsel people, we will marry a person because of who they are and then spend the rest of our lives trying to change them.” 

Henderson added that he is determined to let his wife be who she is.

Shaquille O’Neal talks about Shaunie

Shaquille O’Neal admitted to his wrongdoings when he was married to Shaunie. According to the Los Angeles Lakers legend, he was not protective of his vows to her. In an episode of The Pivot Podcast, Shaq spoke about how he was in the wrong in his relationship.

O’Neal said, “She was awesome. She really was. It was all me.” 

He added that he was not protective of Shaunie’s feelings and his marriage. He admitted to living a double life and not being faithful.

There seems to be no bad blood or anything sour between the O’Neal and Henderson family. Shaunie and Shaq work together in co-parenting their children and are supportive of all of them.
