If you follow NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, you must be aware of his massive fan following on the internet. Shaq, as he is popularly known, has millions of followers across all social media and he is quite active there as well.
However, there have been instances when Shaq has fallen into trouble due to his activities on social media. Back in 2020, the former NBA champion was all over the news.

During an Instagram live of eminent singer Megan Thee Stallion, Shaq’s comment got him into trouble. O’Neal wrote, “Watching that b**ty.“
Interestingly enough, Shaq’s son, Shareef O’Neal, seemed to agree with his father. He wrote, “I feel you pops.” Fans across all social media platforms went into a frenzy with numerous fans questioning whether Shaq was shooting his shot.
However, the former Los Angeles Lakers icon denied all such rumors. “This is what happened America … I was in [the IG Live session]. Somebody said, ‘What are you doing in there?’ And, I typed what I typed. I wasn’t trying to hit on her“, said Shaq.

While O’Neal might have denied all the rumors surrounding him and Megan Thee Stallion, he definitely was hitting on Nicki Minaj once. During a special segment on ‘Inside the NBA’, Shaq did the unthinkable right in front of millions watching.

The four-time NBA champion was executing a freestyling when he said, “Ballers tryna be like me, if this is Hip-Hop, I’m B.I.G. Oh Nicki Minaj, will you marry me?”. Minaj responded with a no, which sent the whole crew into a burst while O’Neal continued his freestyle.
Shaquille O’Neal referenced legendary Hip-Hop artist The Notorious B.I.G during his freestyle. Interestingly enough, O’Neal has a track that features the rapper. Shaq and The Notorious B.I.G came together on the track, ‘Can’t Stop The Reign’ which was an instant hit among fans.
