“She Said Yes!!”: 28 Year Old Celtics Star Marcus Smart Proposes to His Girlfriend

Marcus Smart is finally off the market. Nope, he is still playing for the Boston Celtics and climbing the ladder for all NBA key metrics. It was joy tripled for Smart on Sunday night as the Celtics won 139-111 over the Milwaukee Bucks. It was Christmas Day. And, his girlfriend Maisa Hallum said yes to his proposal. It was a win-win-win for Smart.

He announced his engagement on his social media and captioned it, “She said YES!!” with a photo of the couple in matching PJs.

In an extended thread that left the NBA world with bated breath, Marcus Smart declared that it was time for him to “leave the single life“. In his first tweet, he gave a teaser that he was about to reveal something big. Minutes later, he said, “It’s time for me to leave…

His final tweet may have put Celtics’ fans at ease and the whole NBA world in celebration mode. Smart wrote, “Oh, I forgot the rest“, as he shared a picture of the beaming couple. Hallum was seen flashing her diamond ring, standing beside a happy Marcus Smart.

According to ‘Yahoo! News’, Smart proposed to his Hallum on Christmas. What’s more is that apparently, another celebrity was involved in this momentous occasion. In the full video of the proposal (shared by the NBA player), Will Smith segued the moment. Smith wished them a Merry Christmas on a video and said, “You’re not going to end this Christman empty-handed.” As if on cue, Smart goes down on one knee, and then the rest is history.

Another ring for Smart?

NBC Boston has recorded that Marcus Smart has lifted the Boston Celtics with his great performances. “The reigning Defensive Player of the Year has been outstanding this season, averaging 11.4 points and a career-high 7.4 assists while shooting a personal-best 43.1 percent from the floor”, was the verdict.

His fans would hope that he would be able to boast of another ring, namely, the championship ring this season. It is quite possible since the Celtics have dominated the NBA table and sit at the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
