Back in 1984, Juanita Vanoy was an executive secretary for the American Bar Association. Jordan and Vanoy met through a common friend. Before they started dating, they met at several parties in Chicago. The pair tied the knot in 1989. They had three children together. Almost after two decades of marriage, the couple decided to separate and file for divorce in 2002, which was finalized in 2006.
The divorce made international headlines. In the history of sports, it is considered as one of the most expensive divorces. In the settlement, Juanita got $168 million, the seven-acre estate in Chicago, and custody of their three children.
