Back in 1997, Michael Jordan appeared on ‘The Keenen Ivory Wayans Show’. They talked about different aspects of Jordan’s life. Just like a family man, Jordan talked about wanting to spend time with his wife and kids, go out for dinner then to the movies. All of this is undoubtedly very hard for Jordon and his family because people are constantly intervening in their private time while out in public.

Michael Jordan recalls a funny fan moment

The Hall of Famer then recalled a fan engagement in which a female fan approached him and asked him to sign a napkin for her. Then he mentioned his wife Juanita by saying“She’s a bulldog, won’t let that happen too often”. Jordan spoke about how his wife Juanita would not let a fan invade their private time. The audience started laughing upon hearing MJ’s remarks.

Back in 1984, Juanita Vanoy was an executive secretary for the American Bar Association. Jordan and Vanoy met through a common friend. Before they started dating, they met at several parties in Chicago. The pair tied the knot in 1989. They had three children together. Almost after two decades of marriage, the couple decided to separate and file for divorce in 2002, which was finalized in 2006.

The divorce made international headlines. In the history of sports, it is considered as one of the most expensive divorces. In the settlement, Juanita got $168 million, the seven-acre estate in Chicago, and custody of their three children.
