NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has seemed pretty normal in his recent appearances on NBA on TNT, but he may be in deep water. The four-time NBA champion has made quite a profile for himself, with numerous public promotions and television commercials under his belt. However, one of his agreements to do a commercial for a company is possibly going to cost him big time soon.

The crypto-exchange company FTX went under last year. After the owners were arrested, the company also reported that they have $8.9 billion missing in customers’ money. One of the defendants to a recovery suit is Shaquille O’Neal. However, he has been difficult to locate by the lawyers involved.

According to reports, Shaquille O’Neal has been evading getting served for five months now. The law firm handling FTX’s case has tried to serve Shaq at a couple of his residences, the NBA studio as well as at his public appearances.

However, the result has been nothing but failure. Now, according to gaming-law attorney Daniel Wallach, the class counsel in the FTX lawsuit has chosen some unorthodox methods to serve O’Neal.

Attorney Edwin Garrison has filed a plaintiff’s motion to serve Shaquille O’Neal through alternative means. The motion stated, “Mr. O’Neal’s conduct over the last 5 months in evading service in this action is unprecedented and frankly shocking.” However, this is not the end of Shaq’s potential troubles.

The class counsel involved in the FTX lawsuit will now possibly be serving the NBA icon via publication on a “dedicated Service Webpage” and through his social media accounts as well.
