The Los Angeles Lakers’ preseason struggle only gets worse as they are suffering against the Phoenix Suns. Prior to this game, the purple and gold faced three losses in a row. With so much hype after free agency, their preseason has everyone in worry, especially over the performances of their star signing, Russell Westbrook.

His first game as a Laker was no good for him. He failed to convert chances and just couldn’t get it going. The Brodie is always going hard at every play but the preseason is showing some different shades so far. In the current matchup against the Suns, he is yet again struggling to put up a decent performance in the purple and gold.

Fans troll Russell Westbrook for yet another failure

There is no doubt that Russell Westbrook is a top player. But his start with his hometown has not gone the way he would want. He has accumulated 9 turnovers against the Phoenix Suns. He would have expected a better start with Lakers after coming off a good season last year, but Mr. Triple-Double keeps the fans waiting for a good performance.

However, the fans are not waiting around to discuss the issue of Russell Westbrook. They are working their Twitter fingers and show no mercy towards the point guard.

While Westbrook continues to struggle, opposing point guard Chris Paul is as efficient as ever. The veteran guard has added 15 points while shooting 63% from the field. The Suns continue to shine as underdogs after appearing in the finals last season.

On the other hand, for the Lakers, Anthony Davis is fighting with 19 points. New arrival, Carmelo Anthony is also having his best game with 17 points in just 15 minutes. But these contributions aren’t enough, as the rest of the team is struggling once again.
