Jrue Holiday has been a defensive rock for the Milwaukee Bucks. If there is someone who should have won the Defensive Player of the Year a season back, it should have been him. There is still time for him, though. Of course, there have been many doubters. Recently, a video has resurfaced after his heroics against the Boston Celtics during Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semi-finals. It showed Skip Bayless, Mr. Troll Prime, criticizing the Milwaukee Bucks trading Eric Bledsoe for Jrue Holiday in 2020.

To recap, during the 2020 trade window, Milwaukee acquired Jrue Holiday in a four-way trade which involved the Bucks, New Orleans, Portland and Oklahoma. If the article goes into the specific details on who got traded where exactly, it will be a bit long. Hence, to summarise it, Eric Bledsoe went to New Orleans, while Holiday came to the Bucks.

Skip Bayless reacted to this trade on the show, as usual. He said, ” They got back Eric Bledsoe. I like Eric Bledsoe and am not saying I love him but Eric Bledsoe and Jrue Holiday kinda like 50-50, okay. Jrue Holiday has made two All-Defensive Teams, so has Eric Bledsoe. Holiday might be a nicer guy because he is a good teammate, leader type. Okay, maybe that will help”.

The clip is just 26 seconds long and might just be a little shorn of context. For those who want the full context, the full video is above for everyone to watch.

Just today, in the last minute of the game, he brought that player out against the Celtics. He blocked a layup from Marcus Smart, which allowed the Bucks to have possession and then stole from him again. He scored 24 points and had eight rebounds and assists to help his team win 110-107. But this is natural for Jrue Holiday as last season has proven.
