The NBA world was witness to an amazing game back on Friday when the Los Angeles Lakers faced the Memphis Grizzlies. Although the Lakers winning at the last second was an amazing feeling for fans, the Crypto.com arena audience also witnessed a celebrity fan’s animated reactions courtside that resulted in an altercation. The NFL icon’s excitement led to a heated exchange between him and Ja Morant’s father, Tee Morant and other Grizzlies players. Recently, the former Denver Broncos tight end publicly apologized on his TV show, followed by a lot of trolling from the Twitterverse.

Shannon Sharpe’s lengthy apology while sitting in-studio for his show recently went viral and many fans reacted on the matter. His actions on Friday weren’t appreciated by many which led to the apology.
Shannon Sharpe’s public apology causes fans to go bonkers on Twitter
The Friday night win against the Memphis Grizzlies was amazing for the Lakers fans, but seeing Shannon Sharpe animated on the courtside left many scratching their heads. In a recent edition of his show Undisputed, co-hosted by Skip Bayless, Sharpe gave a lengthy apology on how he should’ve reacted in the situation. Well, fans were somewhat astonished and intrigued by the immediate apology and expressed their thoughts on Twitter. Here are a few reactions.

Dude was a spectator at a sporting event and disrupted the game. He should have been kicked out. Anyone else would have been. It doesn't matter if you're a celebrity or not, if your actions interrupt the game, you should be ejected. Period.

The heated exchange was caused by the banter between Sharpe and Grizzlies star Dillon Brooks after which Ja Morant and his father jumped into the conversation to dilute it or get a word in. Whatever their conversation was, it wasn’t pleasant. A lot of cuss words were thrown around and Sharpe and Tee had to be separated. Safe to say, such a commotion doesn’t suit any televised sport.
Although it looked serious for a moment, both parties embraced each other eventually to forget what happened a while ago. Sharpe was particularly jolly as his team pulled out an unbelievable win, courtesy of Dennis Schröder.
The Lakers’ win against the Memphis Grizzlies ended the latter’s 11-game unbeaten run
Considering the Lakers’ form, fans are unsure about any match they play in, let alone the best teams in the league. The Memphis Grizzlies were supposed to extend their streak to a 12-games unbeaten at the end of the game, but Schröder denied them as he went on to score a beautiful layup while earning a foul.

Fans and the opposition wouldn’t be wrong if they say that the Lakers have performed poorly this season, but they’ve shown character in some of the games. The fans have stood behind them as they also missed a win against the Dallas Mavericks over a week ago.
