In addition to being one of the greatest rappers of all time, Snoop Dogg is a creative man. The rapper, once gifted Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant with a special gift.

He gifted him a Lakers car. The car donned the Purple and Yellow of the Lakers and had multiple other references. Talking about the iconic event, Snoop goes on to talk about that extensively.

Snoop said, “What I had did was that I had built a Laker car and I had built his name. I was like, “Damn, what can I give him? Everyone is going to gift him a basketball, a tie. I’m like that’s gonna be memorable. When he see it, he ain’t gonna understand, but he’ll know what it mean.”
He adds, “I felt honored to be able to have him come. It was just about me and him chopping it up after his retirement and me just telling, how much he meant to me and the family. In the end I just ended up blessing him with the gift. But he had blessed us with a gift. He touched everybody that day.”
The Hip Hop legend reflects back on the day Kobe Bryant retired. The 5 time NBA champion had given one of the most emotional speeches on that day.
When did Kobe retire?
The Mamba announced a retirement from his 20-year log career during the 2015-16 NBA season. The Los Angeles Lakers took on the Utah Jazz on 13 April, 20156, Kobe’s final game.
Kobe Bryant led a brilliant 101-96 over the Jazz. Moreover, The Mamba decided to put on a show in his final game. He dropped 60 points on the Jazz in only 50 points.
