For those unversed, Mbappe is a huge fan of basketball and earlier this year he even showed up at the 2022 NBA draft and signed with the league. No, not to play in the league. He recently created a production company ‘Zebra Valley.’ The NBA signed a contract with his company to create content for a global audience.

Mbappe was accompanied by 15 youngsters from his foundation who flew out to the US with him from France. They joined him on stage with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, together with future stars of the league.

Kylian Mbappe has been a global superstar ever since his breakout season for Monaco in Ligue 1. From there, he has grown on to become one of the best soccer players in the world. Also, one of the most popular athletes on the planet. Back in June, the NBA officially announced the partnership with his production with a tweet.

When talking about Mbappe, the PSG winger stated that the partnership will be a huge step in bringing soccer and basketball fans together. Fans around the world loved the new partnership between the superstar and the league.

NBA Head of Fan Engagement and Direct-to-Consumer for Europe and the Middle East, George Aivazoglou also briefed about the partnership. He said, “Drafting Kylian Mbappé into the NBA family speaks to the global appeal of NBA basketball and the convergence of the league, the global football community and popular culture.” 

He added the league looks forward to working with the World Cup winner to create content that will inspire many.

As per reports, Mbappe is a huge fan of the Los Angeles Lakers marquee LeBron James. He has been in attendance for multiple NBA games so far.

Kylian Mbappe currently plays club soccer for Paris Saint Germain in Ligue 1. However, he is a huge fan of the Spanish giants Real Madrid C.F. He has been vocal about his intentions to play for the European Champions in the past and came close to joining them recently. But he decided to stay in France for another year, where he plays alongside superstars Neymar Jr. and Lionel Messi.
