On the NBA court, we have seen Golden State Warriors star player Stephen Curry make great shots and achieve great records. As of recently, he added one more accomplishment to his resume. The whole thing began when Curry sat in Davidson College’s gender and society class in the summer of 2007.?

The three-point leader was recently inducted into Davidson College’s Hall of Fame. The college also retired his jersey number to honor the four-time NBA champion. In addition, he was also presented with a diploma during a ceremony on campus in the Belk Arena.?

“This is an absolutely amazing day and an amazing moment for myself and my family,” he said proudly. “The best decision I ever made was to come to Davidson College and pursue an education, join an amazing community and, most importantly, play for an amazing man who has built this program in Coach [Bob] McKillop.”?

With his recent accomplishments, including the NBA title and the Finals MVP award, Curry was able to place his team at the top of the league. His college career also achieved similar success.

The promise Stephen Curry made to his mother has been fulfilled

Earlier this season, Curry graduated from the college with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. However, he played in the playoffs at the time and was unable to attend the ceremony. Davidson College provided him with an individual commencement ceremony.

In addition to building his college profile, Curry had one more reason to be proud. It had been Curry’s goal to keep his promise to his mother, Sonya Curry, to graduate with a degree one day. During the ceremony, Sonya mentioned how delighted she was to see her child at Davidson College because the college made him very happy during his time there.?

In a tweet posted to Twitter, Curry got emotional after being inducted into the Hall of Fame. As he expressed his emotion by mentioning: ?Some things are worth the wait!? #30 up in the rafters looks right! Humbled and blessed to be up there with the @DavidsonWildcat legends. #TCC forever. ALWAYS a great day to be a Wildcat!?.
