The Los Angeles Lakers just can’t seem to catch a break. From struggling to keep their roster healthy to getting above-average performances from their superstars, trouble seems to be everywhere. While Russell Westbrook is the perfect example for the latter, Anthony Davis is no exception.

However, despite being made aware of his shortcomings, AD has admitted that he will continue to play the way he wants to.

Right now, none of the Lakers fans are pleased with the organization. Despite having one of the best offseason and building a super team, they have struggled to get wins consistently. With Davis’ attitude, they are even more furious than they were before.

Anthony Davis is averaging 24.2 points per game, which is not too bad for him. However, it’s his shooting from the arc that has everyone bothered. He is shooting a career-low 20% from the three-point line.

The last time he put up such low numbers was back when he was playing for the New Orleans Pelicans. However, they were not as bad as this.

Despite constant pestering from fans, Davis has refused to do anything about it. After the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Detroit Pistons on Sunday, he made it absolutely clear. “I’m going to continue to shoot the ball from three,” he stated. “Whether it goes in or not, I think that opens up the floor for my teammates — LeBron, Russ, Talo — to get downhill.”

“And it opens it up for me to get to the paint when guys run out and are closing out to the three. I’m just trying to be effective at all three levels of the floor, and it was going for me tonight.”

Although Davis has his reasons for doing so, it’s turning out to be more disadvantageous than it is a perk. After the big man’s comments, NBA fans on Twitter had to give him their peace of mind, which is nothing less than brutal.

It’s hard to say how effective their words will be to make the Lakers star think it over. What we do know is that either AD has to find a way to better his numbers, or he will have to bear the brunt of the consequences later on.
