Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic is having one of his best seasons ever. The Slovenian is also in the running for the MVP title this season. His historic 60-point triple-double not only set a franchise record but also made him the highest scorer of the 2023 season currently. However, despite Doncic’s head-turning performances, fans believe that Mavs owner Mark Cuban is ‘negatively affecting’ Doncic’s career due to the poor decisions he had made while building the roster.

The Dallas Mavericks were on an amazing winning streak with seven straight wins before the Boston Celtics put an end to it. The Mavs, 23-19, are currently placed fourth in the Western Conference.

Despite an outstanding performance by superstar Luka Doncic, the Dallas Mavericks weren’t able to hold off the Los Angeles Clippers. Doncic worked his magic at Tuesday night’s game held at Crypto.com Arena and scored 43 points with 11 rebounds, and 7 assists. However, it was the Clippers, led by Kawhi Leonard, who emerged victorious with a scoreline of 113-101. In contrast to Doncic’s 40+ points performance, the second-highest scorer for the Mavs was Tim Hardaway Jr. with 16 points.

Consequently, NBA fans blamed billionaire Mavs owner Mark Cuban for the team’s poor performance. According to the comments dropped by the fans, many felt that it was Cuban’s fault for building a ‘bad roster’. Take a look at some of the tweets.

Joey Linn from Sports Illustrated’s FanNation asked Doncic how he always managed to score so high against the LA Clippers. In response, Doncic said, “We lost, so I don’t know if it’s a big night. They always have different coverages, but they’re a good team. They beat us twice in the playoffs, so they have a great team and it’s always hard to play against them.”
