The debate between NBA stars Michael Jordan and LeBron James has been going on for quite some time now. While it is yet to be decided who really is the GOAT, it is safe to say that both are among the best players in the league’s history. Fan wars are inevitable when there are two top players’ skills in question, but a comment from NBA analyst Nick Wright has recently made him the target of NBA fans who did not appreciate what he said about MJ.
NBA analyst Nick Wright has always been vocal regarding his opinion and according to him, LeBron James is the GOAT, not Michael Jordan. On several occasions he has backed his arguments by reminding fans of the times MJ failed to give his best on the court. And now, the analyst has seemingly struck again.

Nick Wright angers Michael Jordan fans
In the latest episode of his podcast ‘What’s Wright?” the sports radio talk show host called Michael Jordan a “sacred cow”, and evidently fans were not happy about it. Wright started the discussion by talking about Kevin Durant’s ratings in NBA 2K23 and the player’s tweet expressing his displeasure for being rated at 96.
Additionally, he mentioned that NBA 2K were cowardly with their rankings, stating that NBA players like LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, and Klay Thompson were all tied at 96, whereas Giannis Antetokounmpo was rated 97, the highest rating of the new game.

Nick Wright blasts 2K for giving Michael Jordan a 99 overall
“They have to protect the sacred cow that is Michael Jeffrey Jordan. He's on the cover, so he's a 99.” https://t.co/5ZMSRDQxXe

Wright said “Giannis should be, but why are they all bunched up like that? And the answer is because they have to protect the sacred cow that is Michael Jeffrey Jordan.”
He further added, “He’s on the cover, so he’s a 99. And we can’t even have anyone at 98 because nobody’s even close. So, now the top is 97, and then it’s all bunched.”
