DeMar DeRozan is among one of the best shooting guards in the league. However, ever since he joined the Spurs, the 4-time All-Star has not been the same player.

Since the trade went down, his contributions have seen a decline. But it might be due to the personal struggles he has been going through. DeRozan has been quite open about his struggles with dealing through depression.
In an interview with “All The Smoke” podcast, DeRozan revealed how he dealt with his problems. He also mentioned what people can do when they are in similar situations.

“Why do we listen to music? Our music changes every single day, probably because we can relate to it and makes us feel better. It’s the same way with people. But so many people are scared to share their story and want to sit in front of another person because they’re scared of being judged.”
However, DeRozan himself is feeling better about himself. He said:
“To me, I just got to a point where can’t nobody come at me or degrade me for what type of man I am because I know what I’ve been through.”

For the last two decades, Spurs were one of the best teams in the league. They had everything: a great coach, capable front office, and star power. They enjoyed a great run, but it seems that era is coming to its end.
Last season, they missed the playoffs after 22 years. Furthermore, it appears that the team is heading into a rebuilding phase. But DeRozan is at a point in his career where it is now or never scenario for him.

If he wants to win a championship, leaving the team appears to be the best option. But what are your thoughts on the future of DeMar DeRozan with the spurs? Should he stay or leave?
