“Stay Ready Cuz We May Need Your A**”: LeBron James Messes Around With Lakers Legend Among Several NBA Veteran Comebacks

The Los Angeles Lakers came off after a five-game losing streak. However, they came in prepared as they hit the road against the Houston Rockets. After losing a healthy lead, they took care of things and got the win. Post a much-needed victory, a happy LeBron James had some fun with former Laker, Metta World Peace.

The Lakers went through a roller coaster against the Rockets yet again. After holding healthy leads two times, the purple and gold came close to fumbling it up. However, a combined team effort saw the Lake show get back to winning ways.

After the game, LeBron James spoke about it. Jokingly, he also asked World Peace to be ready to suit up.

LeBron James recruiting Metta World Peace?

The Lakers got a much-needed win on the back of a great team effort. LeBron James had yet another stunning game finishing with a triple-double. After the game, he spoke about starting as a center for the first time and the limitations the Lakers have faced.

Between all the serious talk, James jokingly told Metta World Peace to stay ready as well. He said: “Metta stay ready cuz we may need your a**, man.”

With the health and safety protocols in place, the Lakers have been extremely shorthanded. Notably, their defensive players are out. Hence, a Metta World Peace would have come up as big help for the Lakers. However, tonight the Lake show was brilliant on the offensive.

LeBron James and Russell Westbrook stood out as a duo against Houston tonight. James added 32 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists, and 2 blocks. Westbrook came in solid with 24 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists while shooting 58% from the field. Malik Monk had himself a game as well with 25  points to his name while Carmelo Anthony added 24 points to the tally.

The Rockets looked good after going down by nine points in the game. Center Christian Wood showed out once again with points and rebounds. Kevin Porter Jr. added his own contribution to the team too. However, it wasn’t enough to counter the Lakers.
