When Shaquille O’Neal married Shaunie, he already had a daughter, Taahirah, from his previous relationship with Arnetta Yardbourgh. Shaunie too had Myles, from a past relationship, whose surname was later changed to O’Neal after the couple got married. Other than Myles and Taahirah, Shaq and Shaunie have four more kids – Shareef, Shakir, Me’arah, and Amirah.

4x NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal released an autobiography named Shaq Uncut: My Story in 2011. The book chronicled his incredible basketball legacy and his life outside the court. In an excerpt of the book, the 15x NBA All-Star showered his eldest son, Myles O’Neal, with praises calling him a smart child and a great big brother.

He wrote, “Myles is a teenager now. My ex-wife, Shaunie, already had Myles when I met her, but he’s one of mine, as far as I’m concerned. He’s a very smart kid, a reader, a real thinker. He’s been the ultimate big brother to his younger siblings.”

In an episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq, Shaquille O’Neal revealed that Myles O’Neal paid for his Tesla with the help of his modeling career. The proud father said that Myles didn’t need any money from his millionaire father and looking at his accomplishments, he had no complaints.

“Look he makes a lot of money modeling, doing what he does. I can’t tell him what to do. You know, he just bought his won Tesla, top of the line Tesla, drives by itself. Did it on his own. No help from daddy. So I ain’t got no complaints, brother,” said Shaq.
