“Stephen Curry Almost Killed This Man”: LeBron James’ Former Teammate on the Warriors Legend Putting Ex-NBA Champion Into a Serious Health Condition

Guarding Stephen Curry is no joke. The Baby Faced Assassin is the ultimate threat on the court and is never in one place. He keeps moving around to get the best shots for himself and his teammates. And this task was a little too much for a former NBA champion, as a former teammate of LeBron James says Curry almost killed him.
Back in the 2015 NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors were taking on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Curry was coming off his first MVP season and was the biggest threat to the Warriors. And the Cavs needed to minimize his impact on the game.
And after Kyrie Irving got injured in game 1, the Cavs inserted Matthew Dellavedova into the lineup. Delly was a hard-working defensive point guard whose main goal was to shut Curry down. And in game 2, he did just that.

He held Curry to 17 points, and he restricted him to just 19 points. Curry was 0-8 when he was guarded by Delly and 0-5 from the three-point range. And made Delly a hero.
Stephen Curry put LeBron James’s teammate in the hospital
In game 3, Delly was again asked to guard Curry. This time, he was unable to slow him down like he did in game 2 but he still put a mighty effort. He also chipped in valuable points as the Cavs took a 2-1 series lead.

And as scheduled, Delly was to appear in the post-game press conference. But he was nowhere to be found. Later, it was found out that he was taken to the hospital. He was diagnosed with severe dehydration and cramps. This was the result of guarding Curry throughout the game.

J R Smith, who was on that team, addresses how Delly nearly lost his life playing for them. He adds,” He competed harder than anybody I have ever seen in my life. He was literally about to die in the playoffs, like literally. Like we in the back after the game like Steph almost killed this man”
Delly did return in game 4 and played on the rest of the series. But Curry put on a clinic in the last three games and the Warriors rallied back to win their second title in franchise history. And even though Delly nearly laid down his life for the team, Curry was able to prevail in the end.
