Stephen Curry and Wife Ayesha Once Performed Bizarre Dance With Vegetables Just To Aid Michelle Obama in Rare Video

In a resurfaced video, NBA star Stephen Curry and his wife Ayesha Curry danced along to a modified version of Dj Snake’s song. The duo collaborated with non-other than Michelle Obama. However, the star of the short video was actually a vegetable that the trio each held while dancing! The video was uploaded on April 5, 2016, by the former First Lady.

The former FLOTUS Michelle Obama has always been vocal and promoted a healthy lifestyle. Of course, that includes eating vegetables. So what better way than to rope in one of the most loved couples in the sports community to promote a good cause? Michelle took to Instagram to post a video of her with Steph and Ayesha with a guest appearance from a ‘turnip’. Yup! in the video the trio danced and lip-synced to Dj Snake and Lil Jon’s hit EDM, ‘Turn Down For What.‘ However, the song was slightly altered. In contrast to the original hook line, the audio played ‘Turnip For What’ instead.

Additionally, the video served as a homage to Michelle’s previous video that went viral. In 2014, FLOTUS reportedly was answering questions through the vine, when a guy who seemed to be impersonating Obama came forth with a question of his own. The Obama impersonator asked Michelle how many calories she burned when she ‘turned up.

In response, Michelle simply held a turnip and asked the hook line ‘Turnip For What?’ and started grooving to the hit EDM. As expected, the vine immediately went viral garnering millions of views.

While Stephen Curry and Ayesha helped out Michelle, the viral video in turn helped out the Curry couple. At the time the video was uploaded, Ayesha had released her cookbook ‘The Seasoned Life’ and had a reality show of her own, named ‘Ayesha’s Homemade. The second of the show came out a year later and was named ‘Ayesha’s Home Kitchen’.

In the latest development, both Steph and Ayesha hosted a TV show known as ‘About Last Night’. The show invited celebrity couples who took part in a series of relationship trivia and games. The show premiered on February 10, 2022, and had a total of eight episodes.
