Stephen Curry Giggles at His Own Warriors Side During Mavericks Drubbing: “Other Than That..”

After winning the 2021-22 NBA championship, the Golden State Warriors would have hoped for a better start to the season than a 11-11 record. Stephen Curry and his team lost their 11th game of the regular season yesterday against the Dallas Mavericks, the team they beat last season in the Western Conference Finals. However, Stephen Curry still managed to find a chuckle after the disappointing loss.

The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Golden State Warriors 116-113 yesterday night at the American Airlines Center. Luka Doncic dominated the court with 41 points 12 rebounds and 12 assists during the game. He was supported by Mavericks teammate Tim Hardaway Jr., who contributed 22 points with four rebounds and two assists.

In response, Stephen Curry scored 32 points, with five rebounds and five assists. Additionally, Jonathan Kuminga, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, and others chipped in with some points. However, it was not enough to seal the win. Meanwhile, Klay Thompson had a tough game, scoring just five points with seven rebounds and two assists.

The Dallas Mavericks dominated the Warriors’ defense during the first and the third quarters. As a result, the Stephen Curry-led Warriors failed to secure a victory against the Mavericks by three points.

After the frustrating loss, the Warriors superstar gave his take on the team’s performance. Steph Curry praised the Warriors’ defensive game during the final few minutes. While laying out the mistakes made by the team, the four-time NBA champ made a hilarious comment.

Curry said“Those last three minutes were great defensively. We fouled too much, gave away too many offensive rebounds. But, other than that, we’re playing great.”

The 2022 Finals MVP still found a way to slide a joke in and have a laugh at his team’s expense. However, the Warriors’ performance this season has been truly worrying. Coach Kerr will look to implement new measures to improve their team’s performance before the playoffs arrive.

Golden State’s defense trouble continues

The Golden State Warriors had another tough night defensively as they gave away too many points during the first and the third quarters. The Mavericks outscored the Warriors 36-24 in the first quarter.

The Golden State’s defense did a good job in the second quarter, restricting Dallas’ scoring to just 19 points. However, Luka Doncic and his team came rushing in the third quarter, outscoring the Warriors 37-33. The Dubs tried to make a comeback in the fourth quarter but failed to get over the hump eventually.
