Dubbed as championship favorites before the start of the season, the Golden State Warriors are looking nowhere near a team looking to fight for the title. Although they looked good a few months ago after the return of Klay Thompson, an injury to Stephen Curry has left the team helpless.

Talking on his popular podcast, Warriors star Draymond Green talks about the team’s form. According to him, Curry coming back will not help the team and he takes responsibility for the team’s slump in form.
Draymond Green talks about the Warriors
Although the Golden State Warriors ground out a win against the Miami Heat in their latest matchup, the loss against one of the worst teams in the league really hit them hard. When the Warriors took on the Orlando Magic, the fans expected an easy win, especially since the Magic are last in their division.

However, the Magic pulled off a shocking 94-90 win against the Dubs. After the match, Draymond Green went out during the press conference. He referred to the Magic as “one of the worst teams in the league” and how dismal the Warriors were against them.

Talking on the Draymond Green Show, he further clarified his statement. Green said, “I’m not afraid to say that. What I didn’t say in the reality is that falls on me. That’s my category, that’s where I excel, that’s where I lead. I have to be better at that, I can’t let that happen, so that falls on me. You know, someone asked me last night, “Would that be different if Steph Curry is in the game?” and the answer is no.“
He added, “It wouldn’t be because that’s not Steph Curry’s duty. If I’m failed at that, no matter who’s on the floor, Steph Curry’s not coming to make us tougher.“
Although their key man Stephen Curry is set to be sidelined for quite some time now, it looks like Draymond Green has taken up the responsibility of being the leader.
