The world is well aware of the fact that you can’t just trash-talk Stephen Curry and get away with it. Curry didn’t earn the moniker of “the baby-faced assassin” just because of his dominant play, but also for his ability to shut the mouths of his opponents with his game. Back in February 2022, Kevin Porter Jr. tried to trash-talk Steph but later on, was forced to swallow his words.

Earlier this year, the Huston Rockets gave a tough fight to the Golden State Warriors in a regular season contest. However, the domination of the Rockets lasted only for the first three quarters as Stephen Curry dropped 21 out of his 40 points in the fourth quarter. All thanks to the trash-talking of Kevin Porter Jr. The game ended with the Warriors winning by 14 points, the final score was 108-122.

In the post-game interview, Steph talked about the game and addressed how the trash-talking helped him in the fourth quarter. He said, “It’s not the first time and it won’t be the last time. I started bringing it to another level. You always have it, but you definitely bring another level of competitiveness when you have fun stuff like that.”

The above statement seemed like a public warning issued by Stephen Curry. He further stated that he takes all the trash-talking as entertainment and it gives him the just extra spring in his steps. Even Steve Kerr admitted that he encourages players to mess with Steph because of the change it brings within the Dubs superstar.

Stephen Curry shut down his haters this year in an emphatic fashion

There have been plenty of instances where Stephen Curry has shut down critics. But the biggest mic drop moment of the Dubs guard’s career has to be the Golden State Warriors winning the 2021-2022 NBA Championship. In the 2020-2021 season, the Warriors ended up in the 8th position in the Western Conference standings with a record of 39-33.
