Stephen Curry and Tom Brady are the greats of the sports world. Stephen Curry is undisputedly the best shooter in NBA history. Whereas nobody has had an impact as impressive as Tom Brady on the NFL world. Tom Brady’s longevity is second to none. Even after retiring, he could not stay out of the game and he came back.

Stephen Curry has been a sensation. He has revolutionized the sport of basketball with his ability to score a three-pointer from practically anywhere. He is the master of that and his numbers are proof. Steph has the most three-pointers in the history of the game. And it is always a treat to watch him play. Maybe not for his opponents.

Most athletes will do just about anything to step up their game and get better, bigger, faster, and stronger. But the latest performance and recovery trend that’s sweeping the sports world doesn’t require you to do anything at all.

Stars like Stephen Curry and Tom Brady have not only liked and tried new methods to become ‘superhumans’ but also invested big money into the programs along with the likes of Joe Rogan.

Stephen Curry, Tom Brady, and Joe Rogan invest in ‘Floating’

Floating takes place in a light-proof, soundproof tank, also known as a “float tank”. It’s rapidly gaining popularity in the fitness world, with some of the world’s strongest athletes swearing those regular float sessions are key to everything from decreased muscle soreness and anxiety to a noticeable performance boost during workouts.

Steph Curry, for instance, recently floated in a commercial for Kaiser Permanente. 

The New England Patriots have used float tanks as part of their pre-Super Bowl conditioning. Tom Brady is a particularly big fan.

Joe Rogan has become something of a floating evangelist, particularly in the MMA community. Anthony Cosenzo, a physical therapy assistant who competes in jiu-jitsu tournaments, was inspired to try floating after listening to Rogan’s podcast.

He’s happy he did. ” My recovery is a lot more rapid — that’s one of the main reasons I use it. It really helps my muscles recover from the wear-and-tear [of jiu-jitsu],” he says.

Floating requires a tank to be filled with ~30cms of water infused with ~500kgs of Epsom salts. The high salt content makes the water denser, which creates the buoyancy necessary to stay afloat. With modern practices to keep players fit and healthy, the technology and methods have changed, but the aim remains the same – to achieve the highest level of fitness.
