Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green have been the big three at the Golden State Warriors for around 10 years now. They have lifted the franchise to another level. The trio is almost unstoppable on their best days.
But their specialty is proven when they show up and perform at the highest level even on their bad days. Ever since the 2014-15 season, the three have only elevated their level.
The trio won their first title in 2015. Then, they won two consecutive titles in 2017 and 2018. Players have come and gone but the core of the team has always been these three. Steph, Klay and Dray have been constants for the Warriors. For the management and even for Steve Kerr, these three are irreplaceable. And rightly so, as they have earned that importance individually.

Even if Steph is probably the best player quality-wise, Klay is just as important for the team. The biggest evidence of that is how the Warriors failed to qualify for the playoffs in the last two seasons. And now that he is back in the mix, not only have they qualified for the playoffs, they are now in the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics.
Stephen Curry answered the doubts over Klay Thompson’s form. He said that Klay is nicknamed ‘Game 6 Klay’ for a reason. He has no doubt that Klay would have his moment in the series and he would certainly shine for the Warriors.
Steph believes that there’s nothing anyone has to say to Klay because he is indeed Klay Thompson. He has shown year after year why he has the reputation that he has.

Steph said, “He’s [Draymond Green] my ultimate defender.” Curry appreciated how Draymond pushes the team upwards. He emphasized how he has been playing the game of basketball with the same intensity and desire.
He added that it was in 2014-15 when they really came into their own, and he has maintained a certain level of standard. That is because of the impact of Draymond on the squad.

Just like Klay, Draymond is equally important for the team. This season when Draymond was unavailable, there was certainly a lot missing from the Warriors‘ set-up. Draymond’s link-up play is essential for Steve Kerr’s team. His defense and understanding of the game are virtually irreplaceable.
So Steve Kerr surely needs Steph, Klay and Dray to click together like they have countless times in the past to add the 4th ring in his coaching career.
