When this issue was taken up by James Corden, the celebrity talk-show host, Stephen Curry gave his explanations. He blamed a wet spot on the court, which made him slip.

Steph said, “Well, see what happened was, the LA Kings had a game right before us and they must not have put the floor back on top of the ice all the way because there was a little wet spot. I slipped. In my head, I was about to do some kind of crazy 360 dunk I’ve never done in my life. Just didn’t happen.”

Although this might certainly be the case, fans on the internet seem to think otherwise. They have left no stone unturned in roasting Curry and his clip has been memed on multiple occasions.
