Most NBA players like to stay in the limelight even after retirement. Players like Shaquille O’Neal, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Michael Jordan are still very prominent names in and around the league. Even after their retirement, the NBA world takes notice of what these guys are up to post-retirement.

Another player who is known to make headlines every now and then is Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal. With his podcast, ‘The Big Podcast with Shaq’, he talks about things happening in the league, on the floor, off the court, and more.

‘Chef Curry’ was referring to an interview where Giannis Antetokounmpo sat down with SiriusXM NBA Radio and gave a glimpse of what he had in mind post-retirement. The ‘Greek Freak’ said he wants to disappear after retiring from the NBA. It does not seem like he wants to stay in the spotlight after his playing days are over. And looks like he’s taking a play from San Antonio Spurs legend Tim Duncan.

Giannis said, “I want to be like Tim Duncan. Where the hell is Tim Duncan?!”  The Spurs legend was known for his silent demeanor and leadership qualities without having to be too vocal. He ended up playing 19 seasons for the San Antonio Spurs and won five NBA championships along the way.

Chasing Shaq’s commercial record may not be easy, as the Big Aristotle has amassed a net worth of around $400 million. But it will sure be fun for fans to see Curry make appearances in advertisements every now and then.
