Stephen Curry Reveals Why Drake Was Wrong to Coin His Nickname When His Wife Ayesha Deserved it More

Stephen Curry is one of the most unique offensive weapons to come into the NBA. He revolutionized the game of basketball with his shooting prowess and gave birth to a new era. The Baby Face Assassin knows to cook up his defenders on the floor. However, there is a clash as his wife, Ayesha Curry, is an actual culinary giant. So, who gets to keep the nickname ‘Chef Curry’?

While on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’, Steph spoke about Drake’s verse about him and said that he can never be called by that name in his house.

While Steph is killing it on the basketball court, his wife Ayesha is one of the leading businesswomen in the market outside. She has created an empire with her brilliance. Hence, the Curry household is not short of success. But with the similarity of nicknames, one has to let it go.

Stephen Curry admits who is the real chef

While on the show, Jimmy Fallon came up with a witty question. He asked Ayesha if there’s a problem with her being a chef and Curry’s nickname also being Chef Curry. She did admit that she has some concerns about it. However, Steph made sure everyone knows who the real chef is, as he says that can’t be his name at home.

He said, “Drake came up with that line in the song, Chef Curry with the pot and kind of took off from there. But the real Chef Curry is Ayesha… so that nickname can never be used for me inside the house. If it’s a fan base, cool they can use whatever. But she’s the real Chef Curry.”

Stephen Curry surely is a menace for defenders on the court. He brings in all the moves and is a true nightmare. However, his wife is one of the leading female culinary giants. She has multiple tv shows, books, and also multiple brands she’s associated with. Ayesha continues to grow as a chef and it is only right for Steph to give up his title for her.
