Stephen Curry Supports Shaquille O’Neal’s Efforts to Promote Another Basketball GOAT Not Named Michael Jordan

The conversation of who the greatest player of all time is a raging debate. Is it LeBron James? Is it Michael Jordan? Everyone has their own opinion about who their GOAT is and it seems like a never-ending topic. But now Stephen Curry and Shaquille O’Neal want to honor another GOAT who was long forgotten.

Lusia Harris was the first woman to be officially drafted into the NBA and she is considered to be a pioneer for the sport. She also has the honor of making the first basket at the Olympics. In light of all this, Harris has been dubbed the “Queen of Basketball”.

Former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal recently helped produce a documentary on Lusia, which showcased her struggles and her journey. He wanted her to become a household name and get the credit that she was due. The doc has received critical acclaim and is poised to win at the Oscars as well. Now Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is joining Shaq to promote the doc.

Stephen Curry joins Shaquille O’Neal to promote Lucy Harris

Shaq had recently tweeted about the movie, The Queen of Basketball. He tweeted ” To the #Oscars and beyond! Let’s make the GOAT Lucy Harris a household name like she deserves. Who can give me an assist?”

After his tweet, Curry also joined in and praised Harris. He tweeted saying “Count me in, Diesel! 🙌🏽 Honored to support this AMAZING project and Lucy’s incredible story w/ you and #UnanimousMedia. She’s the hero we deserve…The QUEEN of Basketball!!”

The documentary was well-received all over and Harris was finally getting the props she deserves. Unfortunately, Harris passed away on January 18th, 2022. Sadly, she never got to see the movie being nominated for the Oscars.
