Stephen Curry, Who May Have Annoyed FC Barcelona Fans With Strong Statement on Lionel Messi, Once Compared Himself to the Argentine Legend: “Never Know What He’s Going to Do”

Stephen Curry has been enthralling the NBA crowd for years now. With his cut-throat three-point stroke, he is a nightmare for opposing defenses to contain. The Warriors’ star, however, is much more than just a human slingshot. His technical excellence makes him stand a cut above the rest and it shines brightly when he is orchestrating Steve Kerr’s game plan.
The panache with which Curry plays has made him a fan favorite. Wriggling his way through traffic, luring players into sliding foolishly, and finally finishing the chance off with his stellar shooting. That’s what Stephen Curry does on a nightly basis.

Many soccer fans would say that the aforementioned praise might also be showered onto Lionel Messi. And Stephen Curry wouldn’t deny that, since he himself believes his style of play is similar to that of the Argentine maestro.
Curry was questioned about Messi during an NBA conference call. The point guard went on to acknowledge that they do have certain similarities in terms of playing style.
“We both have a creative style, where it’s just about a feel when you’re out on the pitch or on the court,” Curry said.

“I try to do the fancy things out there by going with both hands, making crossover moves and having a certain creativity and flair to my game. That’s definitely the style that Messi has when he’s out there in his matches,” he added.
“I love watching him play. I love watching him play. I’m a big fan, because you never know what he’s going to do at any given moment.,” he concluded.

Soccer and basketball are two very distinct sports. However, it was a very apt comparison by Curry. When the two take it to their respective playgrounds, the imaginative panache is quite comparable.
