NBA superstar Stephen Curry is from a very close-knit family. His mother Sonya and father Dell Curry have been on his side every step along the way. They are a common sight on the sidelines during the Warriors games. And it has led to some awkward situations in the past. Like everyone in the family, Sonya was also an athlete. She was a student-athlete at Virginia Tech, playing volleyball.

Stephen Curry isn’t a fan of the situation

Curry said, ?Obviously, she?s definitely a beautiful lady and I guess the apple didn?t fall too far from the tree? She definitely gets her TV time when she comes to support myself and my brother at our games, so I mean, hey, I?ll take in stride. Just be respectful about it. You don?t have to talk too much trash.?

Other than the stuff that goes on social media, the trash-talking in the NBA can get out of hand at times. So maybe it was a warning for fellow NBA stars, we will never know. While Curry might not be the one for a lot of trash-talking, he can definitely hit back with his celebrations. His iconic ‘Night Night’ celebration during the NBA playoffs last year is now everywhere. Fans around the world are using the celebration from pick-up games to competitive games.

However, Curry revealed that it was not a pre-planned celebration. In game 2 of the series against the Dallas Mavericks, the Warriors were behind by as many as 19 points. On the back of a splendid Stephen Curry performance, the Dubs mounted a comeback. The former MVP scored 32 points with 6 3-pointers to help his team win 126-117.
