Steph’s father Dell Curry was also an NBA legend and his mother Sonya Curry is a businesswoman, writer, and educator. When it comes to his weaknesses, perhaps the only thing that the world notices is his defense.

Stephen Curry never ceases to honor his mother

As the world witnesses Curry’s magic, it is no longer surprising that with such great success comes criticism. Curry’s defense is arguably his one shortcoming. Other significant figures have also commented on this. One of them is Kevin Durant, who once said Curry does not guard the opposing team’s best players. But all such criticism doesn’t seem to bother the Golden State Warriors legend.

Stephen Curry has been seen countless times acknowledging his mother’s role in his success. He once made a statement about his defensive shortcomings and said: “A lot of people say whatever defensive abilities I have, I get from her. My toughness and grittiness.” Breaking ankles is one of the NBA’s most well-known terms. And when it comes to Golden State Warriors point guard, Curry has been seen doing so for ages now.
