The Golden State Warriors are not having the smoothest playoffs run this year. Following their round 1 victory, the Warriors were paired against the Los Angeles Lakers in the Conference Semifinals and things are not looking good for the defending champions so far. Currently trailing behind LeBron James‘ Lakers by 3-1, the Warriors entered the Chase Center on Wednesday night to secure a crucial win in order to remain in the championship race. Amid the brewing tension, a Lakers star recently drew NBA fans’ attention after he clapped back at Warriors coach Steve Kerr for his accusations.

The Warriors-Lakers matchup progressed to Game 5 after the latter defeated Stephen Curry and Co. by a 104-101 margin. With no more than one victory so far, the Dubs have no choice but to win three straight games to qualify for the Conference Finals.

LeBron James’ teammate fires back at Steve Kerr

Following a series of disappointing games, Dubs head coach Steve Kerr threw some pretty strong allegations toward the Los Angeles Lakers. Kerr believed that the purple and gold team have been getting away with flopping in the series. Following that, NBA Insider Chris B Haynes reportedly brought the matter up with an unnamed Lakers player who did not take the allegations lightly.

According to Haynes, the unnamed NBA star said, “Let them bi*** and complain. It shows weakness and frustration. We can’t get caught up in that game.”

It seems like the Lakers are determined to not let anything faze them while they are on the championship quest. On the contrary, Haynes refrained from revealing the player’s name, but his fitting reply to Kerr sure did cause a stir in the NBA world.

Soon after Haynes reported the new development, Lakers fans were quick to jump to the team’s defense and call out Steve Kerr. One fan wrote, “GS been getting away with moving screens for years we don?t wanna hear the crying”

Whereas, another Instagram user turned the tables on the Warriors and accused them of flopping during the games. His comment read, “They flop every time they shoot. They shoot and fall to the floor all the time, they don?t like there own game being played on them.”
