Less than a week before the NBA trade deadline on Wednesday, Feb 9, the Golden State Warriors might be looking to bolster their roster while they prepare to play without Draymond Green, who was recently ruled out because of an injury. The Warriors have been busy focusing on improving the team without their essential defensive guy in the lineup. Moreover, they have been looking for the right pieces for their team this offseason.

There have been rumors linking Hawks’ Trae Young, who is currently having a tough year, to the Warriors. The Hawks have been trying to get rid of the two-time All-Star, but any takers have been hard to come by. Talks about trading him to Stephen Curry’s Warriors have also not materialized. Dub Nation has, however, shifted its attention to a Philadelphia 76ers star.

The Sacramento Kings have been interested in Matisse Thybulle since last year. However, they couldn’t get the Australian shooting guard because of his contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. Now that he’s a free agent, things have seemingly changed. According to reports, Matisse is probably destined for the Golden State Warriors or Sacramento, as both franchises are short on defensive players.

The 25-year-old has never been a prolific offensive player and is currently averaging a career-low 2.7 points and 0.4 3-pointers made per game. However, with his defensive presence, Thybulle can be a pest for the opposition’s offense.

In addition to Warriors and the Kings, the 76ers star has also piqued the interest of the New York Knicks. The Knicks hope to ensure that the team is better positioned for the playoffs. They have been yearning for a player who can also help them solve their defensive woes.

The Knicks may look to trade for Bey. However, they would likely have to send a lot of players away to make such a move worthwhile for both the teams.
