There are some good players in the NBA, then there are some great players too. But there are only a few extraordinary ones, one of them Steve Kerr is now the head coach of and the other he was a teammate of. That’s right, it’s Stephen Curry and Michael Jordan. There is no doubt about the fact that there is nobody like Jordan, and never will be. However, some players have and might in the future, come close to his greatness, or display some of the same characteristics. Kerr thinks Steph and MJ too, have some things in common.
How are Stephen Curry and Michael Jordan similar?
The Golden State Warriors often face criticism for their inability to perform, at least ever since Klay Thompson has been absent because of injuries. In fact, even the best of players, like Stephen Curry, face backlash at one point in their lives. But what fans do understand is that even someone like him has shortcomings and no matter how much they work on their craft, it will never be perfect.

And it’s this ability to never give up and continue to work on their game, that separates the best from the good. In fact, this is what Steve Kerr emphasized when talking about how Michael Jordan and Curry are similar.

Golden State Warriors showing potential to be title contenders
It is probably because of this quality of Steph’s that has always helped him entertain us with the most brilliant performances we have ever seen. The Warriors might even lose the game, but he never gives up.

It is this resilience that has helped him carry the Dubs without his other ‘Splash Brother’. The Warriors have had a great start to their 2021-22 NBA season and are standing with a 5-1 record, the second-highest in the Western Conference.
True, the season has only begun and they need to show consistency to keep their position there intact. But it is a really good sign, despite Klay’s absence. Once he returns, which is predicted so, this team could be the one to look out for in the West.
If Steph and the Warriors can defeat the Lakers’ hyped trio, then Klay Thompson‘s addition could make them indestructible. Provided, he comes back with his original strength and skills.
